We uploaded our sustainability mission statement to our website today. We are developing our sustainability plan in partnership with our Carbon Consultants Blewburton who are helping us with other low and zero carbon initiatives in Berkshire and beyond. We are taking a three pillars approach that recognises the importance of balancing social and economic factors with our ecological goals to ensure true sustainability. We expect the strategy to evolve as we proceed though we are quite sure we will a) offer huge social benefit via the important work that Greenham Trust and Newbury College do every day b) give the local economy a boost through the development effort and the jobs that result c) provide a really good low carbon development that West Berkshire can be proud of.
