Bringing Aldi to Newtown Road

Aldi is attracting hundreds of thousands of new customers every year with its range of exclusive brands, passing low operating costs on to customers in the form of low prices.

A new discount foodstore will be Aldi’s second in the town and will trade alongside their existing popular store on London Road. Aldi stores are modest in scale and designed to serve local communities. The foodstore would provide much needed local access to Aldi’s popular, award-winning offer.

The new store will have many benefits:

• A bright, spacious, new store, with wide aisles and plenty of award-winning choice.

• A high quality, sustainable building.

• Retention of the existing landscaping where possible with further enhancements.

• Up to 40 jobs, with a leading retailer offering excellent career and no zero hours contracts.

• Plenty of parking with designated blue badge, parent and child bays, and electric vehicle charging points.

• A customer toilet with disabled access.
